JAKARTA - The Gunung Rinjani National Park Center (TNGR) of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province stated that the land fire in the Mount Rinjani area was declared extinguished. This is based on the results of monitoring from his side.

"National remote monitoring visually did not find hotspots and fire spots, so the land fire was declared extinguished," said the Team in charge of the TNGR land fire, Lalu Santawana quoting Antara.

Based on the results of visual observations with drones and digitals through the application of mapping the location of the hotspots, it is at a distance of 7.5 kilometers from the nearby residential area and 3.4 kilometers from the climbing route of the Sembalun resort

The control efforts carried out by the team by making an illiteracy around the location of Abangan and Malatan are likely to be passed if the hotspots continue to spread.

"The problem of being widened is that the wind speed is relatively high, so that fires spread rapidly and vegetation is flammable and topography is steep or steep," he said.

Previously, the West Nusa Tenggara Gunung Rinjani National Park Center (TNGR) stated that it was estimated that the area burned at the Sembalun Village Forest location in the Mount Rinjani forest area would reach 55 hectares.

"The cause of the fire is still unclear," said Head of the West Nusa Tenggara TNGR Hall, Dedy Asriady.

He said the security of SPTN II TNGR reported that hotspots had been observed through the Sipongi application in the Sembalun BTNGR Resort area, where land fires had occurred on October 31, 2023.

"The types of vegetation that are burned include shrubs, perdu, grass and dried leaves, trees, tubbakkan trees, mountain spruce and saropan," he said.
