JAKARTA - Bareskrim Polri said that it had studied the results of recommendations from the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) regarding the deaths of 6 laskar of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI). So that, in the near future investigators will ask for the evidence contained in the recommendation file.

"In the future, the National Police will coordinate with Komnas HAM to be able to ask Komnas HAM to provide evidence which is currently controlled by Komnas HAM to give to Polri," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono to reporters, Thursday, 11 February.

"Because this evidence is something important for the National Police to be able to follow up on the results of Komnas HAM's investigations," he continued.

In addition, Rusdi said the results of the Komnas HAM investigation were contained in 60 pages. From that recommendation, the National Police highlighted two things, namely, the incident of the assault on a member of the Police who was on duty and the problem of unlawfull killing.

"Something that becomes more important for the National Police to follow up on this problem is evidence which is currently still controlled by Komnas HAM," said Rusdi.

Previously reported, Komnas HAM had completed an investigation into the shooting case involving the police and six FPI paramilitary troops and had submitted it to the President as a recommendation for handling the case.

As a result, Komnas HAM discovered the fact that there was shooting between the police and the FPI Special Army. This is obtained from the testimonies of witnesses and evidence gathered.
