Ricky Siahaan's Last Picnic With Frequent And Friends In San Diego Hills

JAKARTA - Edy Khemod (drum) revealed that Ricky Siahaan (guitar) wanted to have a picnic at a park with Seringai personnel, after completing a series of tours in Taiwan and Japan.

But fate said otherwise, Ricky died after Seringai finished her performance in Tokyo, Japan on Saturday night, April 19, 2025. The guitarist returned to the country and was delivered to his final resting place at the San Diego Hills Memorial Park on Saturday, April 27 afternoon.

Khemod even invited people who came to the funeral including the media crew to enjoy their final time with Ricky who had just been buried.

Ricky's last wish was a picnic. He asked for a picnic while in Japan, but it turned out that we invited Ricky to have a picnic in San Diego Hills," said Khemod.

"Please friends finish accompanying the mourning family, take it easy, laugh at the dark jokes, whatever Ricky will like. Please come here to accompany Ricky's picnic," he added.

During the funeral, the song titled Landslide from The Smashingvis was played repeatedly. Wendi Putranto as manager of Seringai said the screening of the song referred to the deceased's words in an earlier interview.

"The release of this song is one of the plans we have carried out, we fulfill it, at the wish of the deceased. But the statement has been around for a long time, more than ten years ago," said Wendi. This song is very touching for him, and he wants this song to be played when the time comes. He didn't say this song should be played at the funeral, he just said 'When it's time to arrive, I want this song to be played.'

In addition, the white coffin that protected Ricky's body in the grave was attached with dozens of band stickers from Indonesia and abroad, ranging from Deadsquad, The Adams, Killing Joke, Suicidal Tendencies, and many more.

Wendi said that the sticker on the coffin had received permission from the wife of the deceased, Tabita, and her single daughter, Kara Charmanita Haomasan Siahaan.

"If the coffin is synthesized, it's Arian's idea, the vocalist is Often. Arian asks permission from his family, with his wife and children as well, how Ricky's departure also passes with his favorite bands," said Wendi. Because all the stickers that are affixed are bands that Ricky likes, whether it's international or national bands."
