The Joint SAR Team carried out a medical evacuation of a resident from Komodo Island, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), who was bitten by a Komodo dragon.
"At 14.30 WITA the SAR team evacuated the victim's medical to be taken to the hospital," said Head of the Maumere Basarnas Office Supriyanto Ridwan in an official statement from Maumere, Sikka Regency, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, November 1.
A local resident who was bitten by a Komodo named Kamaruddin (45) from Loh Lawi, Komodo Village, Komodo Island, Komodo District.

However, when he returned home, the victim was immediately bitten by a Komodo dragon on the lower left leg or left calf.
After receiving the report, the Joint SAR Team immediately departed for the location using the RIB West Manggarai SAR Post Ship equipped with emergency medical equipment.
"The Joint SAR team also evacuated the victim's medical to Labuan Bajo Pier," he said.
The victim was then taken to a private hospital in Labuan Bajo using an ambulance from the Labuan Bajo Port Health Office (KKP).
