JAKARTA - Chairman of the Golkar Party DPP Ace Hasan Syadzily defended the Vice Presidential Candidate for the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM), Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who was called the Chairman of the PDIP DPP Djarot Syaiful Hidayat, violated the constitution because he was ahead of the 2024 presidential election. In fact, said Djarot, the mayor of Solo will be prepared to a higher level by PDIP if he wants to be patient. But instead chose to hit the constitution to become Prabowo Subianto's vice presidential candidate. "Nothing has hit the constitution. What is there is that Mas Gibran is running as a vice presidential candidate because the constitution provides opportunities for young people, especially for citizens who are or have become regional heads," said Ace at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 1. According to Ace, the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) which allows a person under 40 years of age to run as a vice presidential candidate as long as he has served at least the regional head must be accepted by all parties. Because said Ace, every citizen has the right to be elected in the presidential election contestation (pilpres) "The fact is, the fact is that the results of the Constitutional Court provide an opportunity for anyone who is a citizen or has served as a regional head and has been chosen by the people to become a vice presidential candidate," explained the chairman of the West Java Golkar DPD. Previously, PDIP DPP Chairman Djarot Saiful Hidayat again expressed his disappointment with President Joko Widodo's son (Jokowi) who is also the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka. In fact, he said, Gibran, PDIP had prepared to become a leader at a higher level after successfully leading the city of Solo. "Actually (Gibran) was prepared as a candidate for leader to be able to continue what has been done by Pak Jokowi and Pak Rudy in Solo, which then if successful, he will be assigned to a higher level," said Djarot at the DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 31. Djarot explained that his disappointment was because Gibran could not wait to hit the constitution to run as a vice presidential candidate.

"But there was a lack of patience so that it took a shortcut and hit the constitution, engineered the constitution. This is what makes me disappointed," said Djarot.
