JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo revealed that many residents who want to move to the capital city of the archipelago (IKN) ask many questions about life in the newly built area in East Kalimantan (Kaltim).

Jokowi conveyed that one of the most questions he asked was related to health facilities at IKN.

"People who want to become residents of IKN Nusantara, always ask the first, health facilities," Jokowi said in his speech at the groundbreaking of a private hospital (RS) on IKN broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat YouTube, Wednesday, November 1.

Jokowi said that many people asked about the presence of hospitals at IKN. With the existence of hospitals in IKN, he said, people are not worried when their families experience health problems.

"'Sir, if my child is sick, is there a hospital? Sir, if our family is sick, is there a hospital in IKN Nusantara?'" he said.

"The answer is clear, it already exists and starts immediately, namely hospital construction [at IKN]. Because today we will conduct a groundbreaking for an international standard hospital, based on a green echo, and a smart hospital," Jokowi continued.

Jokowi said the hospital that will soon be built will serve BPJS and non-BPJS. The hospital in IKN is also equipped with trauma centers.

"This will strengthen the confidence of investors not to hesitate to live in IKN anymore, not hesitate to develop their business at IKN Nusantara," he said.
