PDIP Secretary General Denies Megawati And Jokowi's Issues Of Not Establishing Communication: Love Mother Never Ends

JAKARTA - PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto dismissed the issue of PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri and President Joko Widodo no longer communicating intensely.

Hasto said communication between Megawati and Jokowi had existed for a long time, which was 20 years ago.

"Communication takes place, for 20 years (already) proving it," said Hasto at the Presidential Statistics Archives Study Center, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, October 27.

Hasto explained that Megawati and Jokowi's communication has been established since Jokowi became a party cadre who was promoted to run as mayor of Surakarta.

Then, the PDI-P also promoted Jokowi to governor DKI Jakarta to become president for two terms.

"How Pak Jokowi is the mayor of Surakarta for two terms, as governor, as president for two terms, right," added Hasto.

The politician from Yogyakarta also revealed how Megawati always gives love to Jokowi like her own child.

Hasto believes Megawati's love for Jokowi will never end.

"The commitment is to love an endless mother," he added.

He also responded to the video that was widely discussed on social media containing a snippet of Megawati parrying Jokowi's hand when he was partnered with him to take the stairs at the opening ceremony of the PDI Perjuangan Rakernas IV at JiExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.

Hasto assessed that the video clip was edited and manipulated by certain parties to divide the relationship between Megawati and Jokowi.

"(Video clips) are made," he said.
