Village Apparatus In Kuningan, West Java, Corruption Fund For Social Assistance Handling The Poor

The Kuningan Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim), West Java, arrested and appointed an individual device from Sukadana Village in Kuningan Regency with the initials AG (35). AG is suspected of being involved in a criminal act of misuse of funds for handling the poor or social assistance program (bansos). "So for the perpetrators we have named as suspects, they are elements of the village apparatus. In this case, there were six victims who were deceived by AG with a loss value of Rp. 10,600,000. The funds were collected by the perpetrators from 2021-2023. According to him, the suspect used the social assistance funds for personal purposes. Even though the money should have been distributed to Beneficiary Families (KPM). "The method is that this person collects a card to collect the funds. The password is attached to the card, so he is free to take funds from the card without the victim's knowledge. So they don't know the funds have been drained," he said. From the results of the examination, said Putu, the suspect admitted all his actions and was proven to have abused social assistance funds. The Kuningan Police will investigate this case thoroughly by carrying out further investigations. "We urge the public, either as a village apparatus or as a representative, to collect social assistance funds, we hope that they don't play games. Because this is for small communities, they really need it," he said. He said that to account for his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 36 Paragraph (1) letter a in conjunction with Article 38 in conjunction with Article 43 Paragraph (1) of Law Number 13 of 2011 concerning Handling the Poor with a penalty of five years in prison and a fine of Rp. 500 million.

"Although perhaps from the social assistance funds it is only Rp. 200 thousand, Rp. 300 thousand, for them it is really big to help with daily life," he said.
