Sued For IDR 200 Billion, Ade Armando: Realizing PDIP Hates Me, But How Come It's Retaliated By Not Making Sense

JAKARTA - Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) politician Ade Armando opened his voice about himself being sued by the PDI-P (PDIP) in court and demanding compensation costs of Rp200 billion.

Ade Armando was sued for reviewing an anonymous video narrated as PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri angry because Kaesang Pangarep joined PSI.

Ade admitted that he was surprised by the legal steps taken by PDIP. Because, if PDIP did not like him personally from the start, Ade's lawsuit to court was considered too excessive.

"I am aware that PDIP hates me. But how come it must be realized (retaliated) in this unreasonable way, right?" said Ade when confirmed, Tuesday, October 24.

Ade then clarified that he did not justify the anonymous video. Ade admitted that he only recounted the contents of the video describing Megawati being furious at her residence, on Jalan Teuku Umar, Central Jakarta when there was an announcement that Kaesang had entered PSI.

This review was conveyed by Ade on the Youtube channel @AdeArmandoOfficial, entitled "Is Megawati Really Angry Because Kaesang Joins PSI".

Still referring to the video, Ade said that PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto, presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo, to the Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Budi Gunawan, was the target of Megawati's tantrum.

However, Ade emphasized that he said the anonymous video could not be trusted immediately and could potentially be a hoax. This was also conveyed at the end of his review of the anonymous video.

"In my video questioned by PDIP, I actually say that this kind of (anonymous) video must be doubted. I quote Hasto Kristiyanto's rebuttal about the meeting at Teuku Umar. I also state that Hasto denied any rift in Jokowi and Megawati's relationship," explained Ade.

"Because, it was very surprising that PDIP is now suing me because I am considered spreading hoaxes. PDIP sued me because my actions to raise hoaxes were detrimental to PDIP's electability," he continued.

Previously, the PDIP DPP Legal Aid and Advocacy Agency (BBHAR) team Johannes Lumban Tobing confirmed that his party was suing Ade Armando on a civil basis at the Cibinong District Court, West Jakarta.

"That's right. We have filed a lawsuit, later on November 15, 2023, the first trial will be at the Cibinong District Court. He must be responsible materially for compensation of Rp. 1 billion, the immaterial is Rp. 200 billion," said Johannes.

Johannes explained that PDIP sued because Ade Armando arbitrarily translated an anonymous video that was not clear about the truth. Ade should have confirmed in advance about the video to the video maker, or at least to PDIP, before creating the review content.

"Just ignore the udel Ade Armando talking, that's it. There has been no communication and it's clear, there is no confirmation. It was said that Mrs. Ketum Megawati was angry, until she pointed a stick at Mas Ganjar. When did this come, you know?" he said.

"Because we feel a loss, we will file a lawsuit against Ade Armando. With a note what was stated, Ade Armando must be legally held accountable," he added.
