JAKARTA - Head of the Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Abdul Muhari explained the reasons for using the water volume, which was previously 4000 thousand liters, has now become 800 liters for one blackout at the Rawa Cat TPA, Neglasari, Tangerang City.

"The extreme weather and the very hot heat made the pile of plastic waste very flammable. It is estimated that around 10 hectares of TPA land were burned and until now the fire is still burning at the location," he said.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Tangerang, Arief R Wismansyah, explained that 30 percent of the firefighters in the Rawa Cat TPA remained.

However, residents in the Neglasari area were still temporarily evacuated until they were completely extinguished so as not to interfere with breathing in the area.
