Meeting With AHY Liquid, While Eating Porridge Gibran Asked To Meet SBY

Gibran Rakabuming Raka visited the residence of the Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono alias AHY this morning. The eldest son of President Jokowi asked for time to meet with Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono or SBY.

Head of the Democratic Party's Organizational, Cadreization and Membership Development Agency (BPOKK) Herman Khaeron said that the Gibran-AHY meeting was warm and fluid, surrounded by breakfast of chicken porridge together.

"(Gibran) visited and had breakfast, because Mas Gibran wanted to go to Solo, so he stopped by to meet the chairman (General Chair) AHY here to stay in touch. I think the event was disbursed. Earlier, it was seen how familiar as a young, familiar, stay in touch," said Herman Khaeron in response to reporters' questions when he was met outside AHY's residence, Jakarta, Sunday, October 22, which was confiscated by Antara.

Herman continued in the meeting, while eating in the morning, the two also discussed. Gibran also asked AHY for time to meet with the Chairman of the Upper House of the Democratic Party Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at his residence, Cikeas, West Java.

"Indeed, Mas Gibran also asked for time to meet with Mr (SBY)," said Herman Khaeron.

From the photos inside the residence during the meeting, broadcast by the DPP of the Democratic Party, AHY directly introduced several elite Democratic Party who were present, including Herman Khaeron, Head of the Democratic Party's General Election Winning Body (Bappilu) Andi Arief, Secretary General of the Democratic Party Teuku Riefky Harsya, and Head of the Legal and Security Agency of the Democratic Party Mehbob. At AHY's residence, there were also AHY and SBY Iftitah Sulaiman confidants.

Gibran, who is currently still active as Mayor of Solo and PDI-P cadres, arrived at AHY's residence on Jalan Prapanca No. 10, Jakarta, at 08.23 WIB in a black Toyota Innova with license plate number B-2113-ZZH. The hosts, wearing green tops, immediately welcomed Gibran's arrival on the terrace.

The two immediately entered the house and left at 09.35 WIB. Gibran, wearing a golden brown batik top, with AHY greeting his media colleagues who were waiting outside, but both of them were not pleased to answer reporters' questions regarding the content of the meeting and regarding Gibran's visit to AHY's residence.

However, the meeting was probably related to the name Gibran proposed by Golkar as Prabowo's vice presidential candidate. After being officially proposed as Prabowo's vice presidential candidate by Golkar, Saturday (21/10), Gibran met with the general chairman-chairman of the party members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition, including the General Chairperson of the PAN DPP Zulkifli Hasan at his official residence, Widya Chandra IV/16 Complex, Jakarta, Saturday (21/10).

The Advanced Indonesia Coalition, which consists of the Gerindra Party, Golkar Party, PAN, Crescent Star Party, the Indonesian Gelora Party, Garuda Party, PRIMA, and the Democratic Party, carries Prabowo Subianto forward for the 2024 Presidential Election as a presidential candidate.

In an event held by a volunteer entitled "Indonesia Calling Gibran" at the Proclamation Monument, Jakarta, Saturday, Gibran admitted that he had met the general chairman of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition party.

"I met the coalition chairman earlier. Later there will be the next surprises, just wait," Gibran told reporters at the Proclamation Monument.

Previously, Prabowo's candidate for vice president apart from Gibran was Erick Thohir (proposed PAN), Yusril Ihza Mahendra (Chairman of the Crescent Star Party), and Khofifah Indar Parawansa (Governor of East Java proposed by the Democratic Party).

In the last few days, Gibran's name has become increasingly widely rumored to be Prabowo's vice presidential candidate.

General Chairperson of Gerindra Prabowo Subianto is currently the only presidential candidate (candidate) who has not announced his prospective vice presidential candidate and has not registered with the General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia.

The other two candidates for vice presidential candidates, namely the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD registered themselves first on the first day that registration was opened by the KPU.

However, Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana on Friday said Prabowo submitted two permits to run for the 2024 presidential election and leave to the President of the Republic of Indonesia. President Joko Widodo has also approved the two letters.

Registration for presidential and vice presidential candidates is scheduled for October 19, 2023 to November 25, 2023.

Based on Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning Elections (UU Pemilu), pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates are proposed by political parties or coalitions of political parties participating in the election who meet the requirements for obtaining seats of at least 20 percent of the total seats in the DPR or obtaining 25 percent of the nationally valid votes in the previous election for members of the DPR.

Currently, there are 575 seats in parliament so that the pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election must have at least 115 seats in the DPR RI. It could also be that the candidate pairs are promoted by political parties or a combination of political parties participating in the 2019 Election with a total valid vote acquisition of at least 34,992,703 votes.
