BMKG Predicts Light To Heavy Rain In A Number Of Big Cities

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) estimates that light to heavy rain will hit a number of major cities in Indonesia on Sunday.

Reported by Antara from the www.bmkg.go.id page, in the morning, light rain will flush the Medan area, North Sumatra.

During the day, light rain has the opportunity to fall in the areas of Serang, Gorontalo, Bandung, Banjarmasin, Manokwari, Pekanbaru, and Padang.

Meanwhile, moderate rain will fall in the Tanjung Pinang and Jayapura areas. Heavy rain accompanied by lightning will flush the Banda Aceh and Pontianak areas.

Entering the evening, light rain has the potential to wet the areas of Banda Aceh, Palangkaraya, Manokwari, Mamuju, and Medan.

Light intensity rain will still flush several major cities in Indonesia in the early hours of Monday (23/10), such as in Banda Aceh and Mamuju. Meanwhile, the Palembang area is expected to be shrouded in smog.

Residents living in areas that are expected to experience moderate to heavy rain should increase their vigilance to deal with the possibility of inundation or flooding.
