JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has added dozens of parking locations that apply disincentive tariffs or are more expensive for vehicles that do not pass the emission test.
Until the end of this month, there were 67 parking locations managed by the DKI Provincial Government and BUMD at a disincentive rate.
This parking tariff rule needs to be known by motorists and car owners in DKI Jakarta. The government's attention to vehicle emission tests has increased since the phenomenon of poor pollution in Jakarta.
Currently, the parking disincentive rate is only valid for four-wheeled vehicles. The DKI Provincial Government plans to apply a disincentive tariff on two-wheeled vehicles when the number of vehicles that have tested the emissions increases significantly.
Parking Rates Rules For Cars Not Passing Emission Test
The highest parking rate for four-wheeled vehicles is IDR 5,000 per hour, based on Governor Regulation 120 of 2012. Meanwhile, the normal tariff is IDR 3,000 for the first hour and IDR 2,000 for the next hour.
