Masses Of Anies-Cak Imin Supporters Continue To Come, Traffic Around KPU Is Congested

JAKARTA - Mass supporters of the presidential candidate (candidate) Anies Baswedan and the prospective vice presidential candidate (cawapres) Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) or the Amin pair continued to arrive at the General Election Commission (KPU), Jalan Imam Bonjol, on Thursday, October 19 morning.

Based on VOI.id's monitoring, at 08.50 WIB, the masses from the party supporting Anies-Cak Imin had packed the KPU office, resulting in traffic around the KPU, the intersection of HOS Tjokroaminoto, total traffic jams.

Vehicles from the direction of Jalan Rasuna Said or Menteng were forced to slow down at a red light near the KPU. Meanwhile, vehicles traveling from Diponegoro Street to the HI Roundabout must be side by side with the mass of Anies-Cak Imin supporters.

There are also several command cars that are seen parked in front of the Indonesian KPU Office. The cars played support songs for Anies and Cak Imin.

Until this news was published, at 09.40 WIB the Anies-Cak Imin pair and the supporting party elites from Nasdem, PKB and PKS arrived at the location.

The Anies-Cak Imin pair will register with the KPU today, which is the first day of registration for presidential and vice presidential candidates. The pair is promoted by the NasDem Party, PKB, PKS, and a number of non-parliamentary parties such as the Ummat Party and Masyumi. Registration for the presidential and vice presidential candidates will last until October 25, 2023.

Previously, Polda Metro Jaya implemented a diversion of traffic flow around the General Election Commission (KPU) office today. This engineering was carried out because two pairs of candidates (paslon) Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD would register as Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates.

People who pass around the KPU office or Jalan Imam Bonjol are asked to cross the alternative route. So, don't get stuck in traffic jams.
