Four Tourists Drowning On Sunset Beach Sukabumi, One Santri Dies

SUKABUMI - Four tourists from North Jakarta, DKI Jakarta and Bogor, West Java were swept away by the current and drowned on Sunset Beach, Sukabumi Regency.

One of the victims had drowned and his body was only found on Wednesday (18/10).

"The four victims had the initials RA (12) from North Jakarta, then K (15), MI (12) and RI (12) from Bogor. Three victims were rescued, but one of them, namely K, was found dead on Wednesday (18/10)," said Head of Sukabumi Police Polairud AKP Tenda Sukendar quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 18.

According to information gathered from the SAR team, the marine accident occurred on Tuesday at around 17.00 WIB.

When the victim K and his three friends were swimming at Sunset Beach, Karangpapak Village, Cisolok District, suddenly came a big wave that immediately rolled them up and four victims were dragged into the middle of the sea.

The Tirta Tourism Rescue Agency (Balawista) team in Sukabumi Regency who saw the incident immediately made a rescue and managed to save three victims, namely MI, RI and RA.

Meanwhile, K was not rescued and declared missing drowned.

The search continued the next day or on Wednesday, October 18.

Not long after the joint SAR team received information from fishermen on Karanghawu Beach, Cisolok District, the discovery of K's body caught in his net.

According to information, the victim who died was a student of Habib Bahar Bin Smith.

Currently, the body has been returned to the family. Habib Bahar went directly to pick up the students.
