Airlangga Calls Prabowo Registration To KPU After Rapimnas Golkar

JAKARTA - Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto said his party would only discuss and decide on the name of the vice presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto's companion to Rapimnas which will be held on Saturday, October 21, next.

"Everything will be decided (including Prabowo's vice presidential candidate)," said Airlangga at the Golkar Party DPP, Slipi, West Jakarta, Wednesday, October 18.

Airlangga said that the Golkar Rapimnas will be held behind closed doors and only involves internal parties. The Golkar Party, he said, would also not invite parties that are members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition.

The Coordinating Minister for the Economy revealed that political parties who support Prabowo's coalition will only be invited at the peak of the celebration of the Golkar Party's anniversary on October 31

Airlangga said Prabowo's registration as a presidential and vice presidential candidate would later be carried out after the Golkar Rapimnas was completed.

"Yes (Pribowo's registration after Rapimnas Golkar, ed)," he said.

Airlangga also emphasized his commitment to support Prabowo as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election. So he said, at the Golkar National Meeting, he would no longer discuss the possibility of moving sides.

"Golkar has declared support for Pak Prabowo," he concluded.
