Meanwhile, Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Dharmasraya Police, AKP Suyanto, said that after the surrender, his party would immediately continue investigating the case.

"The suspect underwent an intensive examination," he said.

He revealed that in the case of alleged torture that ensnared BAS, there were 10 other suspects, four of whom had already undergone trials and the rest were still DPOs.

They were declared as suspects under Article 170 of the Criminal Code Jo. Article 351 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code.

The victim in that case is Dani Kumara (23) who was alleged to have been jointly assaulted by the suspects on June 21, 2020.

The incident occurred at the Koto Ranah Wali Nagari Office, Koto Besar District, Dharmasraya and resulted in the death of the victim.
