DKI PSBB Participates In Micro PPKM, Transjakarta Operations To The MRT Are Extended Until 10 PM

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that there is an extension of the operational time for public transportation in Jakarta starting today.

This follows the extension of large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) which refers to the imposition of restrictions on micro-scale community activities (PPKM) until 22 February.

"The operational time limitation for Transjakarta public transportation, regular public transportation, Integrated Highway (MRT), and Integrated Highway (LRT) starts from 05.00 WIB to 22.00 WIB," said Syafrin in his statement.

Transjakarta also extends the operational time until 23.00 WIB especially for health personnel passengers.

Then, water transportation operates from 05.00 WIB to 18.00 WIB. Meanwhile, the operational time for the Jabodetabek Commuter Line electric train follows the operational pattern of PT KCI.

"The limitation of transport capacity for users of transportation modes of movement of people and goods is carried out with a maximum limitation of 50 percent of the carrying capacity," he said.

Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan extended the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) period until February 22, 2021. This followed the government's decision to impose restrictions on micro-scale community activities (PPKM).

This decision is also based on data compiled by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office that the spread of active cases in the capital city in the last two weeks needs to be minimized, especially ahead of the 2,572th Chinese New Year holiday in 2021.

"This extension is contained in the Governor's Decree (Kepgub) No. 107/2021 regarding the Extension of the Enforcement of Time Periods and Limitation of Outdoor Activities," Head of DKI Jakarta Health Office Widyastuti said in his statement.
