These Five Provinces Have The Highest number of recovered COVID-19 Patients

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Task Force Wiku Adisasmito explained that there were five provinces that experienced the highest number of recovered COVID-19 patients. According to him, this achievement needs to be appreciated.

"There are five provinces that recorded the highest recovery, namely DKI Jakarta, West Java, East Kalimantan, Lampung, and the Riau Islands", Wiku said in a press conference broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat YouTube account, Tuesday, February 9.

Wiku detailed the additional recovery rates in the five provinces. DKI Jakarta Province, said Wiku, experienced the highest increase in recovered cases up to 3,005 cases.

For West Java there was an increase of 2,072 cured cases; East Kalimantan increased by 691 cases recovered; Lampung experienced an increase in cured cases by 365, and the islands of Riau increased by 289.

With this data, he hopes that these five provinces can become an example for other provinces in handling COVID-19 patients. The goal is that more provinces can contribute to the recovery rate nationally.

"I also ask other provinces to ensure appropriate treatment for COVID-19 patients", he said.

Previously reported, the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 67,888 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 8,700 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 1,174,779 people and as many as 169,351 active cases", the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Tuesday, February 9.

Today, there are 10,424 cases recovered, so that a total of 973,452 people recovered. Then, 213 confirmed positive cases died and a total of 31,976 people.

In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 9,791,928. In detail, a total of 9,647,325 specimens were examined using Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) and 144,603 using Molecular Rapid Tests (TCM).

"The cumulative positive result per number of people examined or a positivity rate of 18 percent", he wrote.

For the number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 77,086 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
