JAKARTA - The admission of Gaga Muhammad who was drunk while driving and resulted in an accident so that his former lover, Edelenyi Laura Anna, suffered a spinal cord injury which could lead to a crime.

Transportation Observer Budiyanto said, referring to the regulations, all motorized vehicle drivers must be reasonable and full of concentration. This is stated in Law number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation.

"The meaning of concentration here is that every person driving a motorized vehicle is attentive and is not distracted due to illness, fatigue, sleepiness, using the telephone or watching television or video installed in the vehicle, or drinking alcohol or drugs," he said. Even if it is more conical, every driver who is not concentrated when driving can be suspected under Article 283. In this regulation, offenders can be sentenced to a maximum imprisonment of 3 months or a fine of IDR 750 thousand.

But if the conditions are different, meaning that it causes an accident, the rider as a ripper may be subject to Article 310 paragraph 1. In this regulation, the hitman is subject to imprisonment for a maximum of 6 months or a fine of Rp1 million.

"If someone is injured (from) another party, he can be subject to Article 310 paragraph 2 with a maximum imprisonment of 1 year and / or a maximum fine of Rp. 2 million," he said.

Previously reported, Gaga admitted that he was drunk while driving. But, not only him but Laura and also their other friends. He also emphasized that before driving home, he had time to eat to get rid of the influence of alcohol.

"After (eating) I understood fine, I walked home. There Laura was still drunk," said Gaga as quoted by the YouTube channel Gaga Muhammad, Tuesday, February 9.

Gaga emphasized that the incident was purely an accident because not only Laura was injured but also herself.

It's just that at that time, he continued, Laura didn't wear the seat beat perfectly. He just attached the bottom, while the top was removed.
