Prabowo Admits That He Is Restraining Himself For The Sake Of Great Interest, Waiting For Gerindra To Rule Lawfully

JAKARTA - Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto admitted that at this time he felt he had to hold back a lot for the sake of big interests. However, Prabowo did not mention what those interests were.

Prabowo said this to Gerindra Party cadres during the anniversary of the party bearing the Garuda logo.

"Sometimes I also have to hold back a lot for the sake of big interests, for the sake of the party and all Indonesian people", Prabowo said in a GerindraTV YouTube broadcast quoted by VOI, Tuesday, February 9.

Prabowo admitted that Gerindra could not become an absolute ruling party. However, Prabowo asked the existing reality not to dampen the enthusiasm of Gerindra cadres.

"We still want to rule with lawfulness, legitimacy, constitutionally. We want to rule with the people's permission. We want to rule with a good struggle, but never doubt that we continue to have faith that we are capable of improving this nation", said Prabowo.

The Minister of Defense also expressed his gratitude for the work of party cadres, both PAC, DPC, DPD, and party DPP. Because, without the hard work of its cadres, Gerindra would not be what it is today.

Prabowo hopes that his cadres will be more confident and have a strong belief in party ideology. Then, always side with the right ones.

"We are ready to make sacrifices, we are ready to hold back, we are ready to be persecuted, we are ready to be slandered, we are ready to be betrayed, we are ready to be blasphemed, but our hearts remain steadfast, love our homeland and always fight for good", he said.
