PRAYAY - The Environment and Forestry Service (DLHK) of Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), has started sweeping piles of garbage along the Airport-Mandalika Bypass road to support the MotoGP event at the Mandalika Circuit.
"We have started cleaning up trash along the Bypass road to the Mandalika Circuit," said Acting Head of Central Lombok Regency DLHK, Amir Ali in Praya, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 10.
The sweeping of the piles of garbage was carried out in order to support the MotoGP event at the Mandalika Circuit, so that the roads that were passed by the audience and tourists looked clean and beautiful.
"This activity is routinely carried out until the implementation of the Mandalika MotoGP event," he said.
The agency appealed to the public not to open any trash that could damage road aesthetics and was expected to dispose of garbage in its place.
"We hope that residents don't throw garbage anywhere," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Central Lombok DLHK Waste Division, Lalu Maksum Supardi, said that his party had prepared three locations for the Waste Disposal Site (TPS) located not far from the location of the MotoGP event.
Then the garbage is sorted by special officers into garbage that can be recycled to be brought to the Mandalika Waste Bank.
"In the MotoGP event, we are standardized from morning to night," he said
The recyclable waste was brought to the Mandalika and Sengkol Waste Banks. Meanwhile, the remains of the food and vegetables were brought to the BSF in Sengkol for Magut food.
"There are not many members who enter the TPA," he said.
