PAPUA - Head of the Cartenz Peace Task Force, Kombes Faizal Rahmadani, admitted that four members of the West Papua national committee (KNPB) were on the wanted list (DPO) suspected of being the perpetrators of the murder of female activist Michelle Kurisi Doga. The four KNPB members who are included in the DPO are KW, JW, DW and K. The Cartenz Peaceful Gakkum Task Force had previously arrested three members of the KNPB who were suspected of being the perpetrators of the murder of Michelle Kurisi whose bodies were found in Koloak Atas District, Lanny Jaya Regency, Papua Mountains, on August 28. The three KNPB members who were arrested were PM, AW and RK alias RM and were arrested in three different locations, namely Jayapura, Tolikara and Wamena. Of the three perpetrators of the murder, it was revealed that the executor of the murder was RK alias RM. The arrests began with the arrest of PM, last Thursday, October 5 in Wamena and then developed until the other perpetrators were caught. "The alleged perpetrators are members of the militant KNPB from West Baliem," explained Faizal. He explained, from the results of the post-mortem and autopsy there were no signs of the victim being shot but killed using a sharp object. Michele Kurisi Doga was killed by the perpetrators on August 28 in the Upper Koloak District, Lanny Jaya Regency by being stabbed with a knife and hit in the head with a stick. The murder was recorded by the perpetrators and spread through their social media channels (Facebook) so that the video of the murder of Michele Kurisi Doga circulated widely on social media and went viral. The viral video shows the victim Michele Kurisi initially being interrogated by the perpetrators and not long after, it was seen that the victim was taking life in the bushes with blood pouring on the victim's chest. The murder was classified as sadistic and cruel, especially when it was videod and went viral.

The suspects will be subject to Article 338 of the Criminal Code concerning the murder of junto Article 340 of the Criminal Code concerning premeditated murder junto Article 354 of the Criminal Code concerning persecution resulted in the death of another person, with a maximum threat of the death penalty or life imprisonment.
