121 Expensive Parking Locations Provided By DKI Provincial Government For Cars Not Passing Emission Tests And Applicable This Month

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, targets the implementation of parking disincentives or parking rates to be more expensive in 121 locations to be implemented this month. This more expensive parking rate is specifically applied to cars that have not or did not pass the emission test. 121 locations that apply a disincentive rate are located on the parking lot owned by Perumda Pasar Jaya. "We are targeting a total (disincentive tariff location) of 121 PD Pasar Jaya parking lots, all of which can be implemented this month," Syafrin told reporters, Monday, October 8. As of last October 1, the DKI Provincial Government has implemented a disincentive tariff for cars not passing emission tests at 24 locations, after previously there were 10 locations that previously imposed a disincentive tariff. "Currently, we from the Transportation Service continue to strive to implement it and there are additional 24 points (parking pockets)," he said. Disincentive parking rates on vehicles that have not yet or do not pass the emission test as stated in DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 31 of 2017 concerning Parking Service Tariffs. In the governor's regulation, four-wheeled vehicles are subject to parking rates of IDR 7,500 per hour or are progressive.
