JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) informed the water level status at Sunter Hulu Water Gate on Tuesday, at 05.00 Western Indonesia Time, it was still on Alert II status and Manggarai Water Gate was cautious or Alert 3 status.

Reported by Antara, Tuesday, February 9, based on the information on the water level quoted from the official Twitter account @BPBDJakarta, the water level of the Sunter Hulu Water Gate is 220 cm, while the Manggarai Water Gate is 795 cm.

There are a number of areas that have been asked to be cautious regarding the increase in water level at the Water Gate at the Sunter Hulu Monitoring Post, namely Cipinang Melayu, Kelapa Gading, Bambu Apus, Cipinang Muara, Cilangkap, Kebon Bawang, Pondok Ranggon, Duren Sawit, Jatinegara Kaum.

Then South Rawa Badak, North Rawa Badak, Setu, Kayu Putih, Lubang Buaya, Pondok Bambu, Pulo Gadung, Sungai Bambu, Sumur Batu, Pondok Kelapa, East Kelapa Gading, West Kelapa Gading, and Cipinang.

Based on BPBD data, the water level increase at Sunter Hulu Water Gate Alert 2 has occurred since Monday, February 8, at 8:00 p.m. and has persisted until this morning.

In addition to Alert 2 at Sunter Hulu Water Gate, Alert 3 Status besides Manggarai, it was also announced that it happened at Karet, Angke Hulu, and Pasar Ikan Water Gate.

The authorities have disseminated this information through the Disaster Early Warning System (DEWS), social media as well as the sub-district and village heads in the area concerned.

DKI BPBD continues to update early warning information regarding the increase or decrease in water level at monitoring posts and floodgates.
