SOLO - The Surakarta City Government (Pemkot) was forced to close as many as 51 stalls of market traders during the Central Java Movement at Home Only which was held on February 6-7.

"A total of 51 stalls are closed for one week," said Surakarta Mayor FX Hadi Rudyatmo in Solo, Central Java, quoted by Antara, Monday, February 8.

He said the 51 closed stalls of merchants were spread across 44 traditional markets in Solo. His party noted that most of the closings were carried out in Ledoksari Market, Solo, which reached 10 stalls.

Even though so far there has been no further direction regarding the continuation of the Central Java Movement at Home Only, his party is still establishing discipline enforcement posts in public places, namely traditional markets and modern shopping centers.

"Later we will ask the officers at each post to provide masks too, so buyers and traders who do not wear masks are immediately given masks but are still subject to sanctions. Buyers are banned for eight hours of social work," he said.

In addition, he said, similar posts would also be established in every sub-district and sub-district office in Solo City to monitor violations of health protocols committed by the community.

Asked about the results of the Central Java Movement at Home Only on the development of the number of COVID-19 cases in Solo, so far his party has not been able to confirm.

"The results may be seen tomorrow," he said.

Meanwhile, even though starting Tuesday, February 9 there has been an easing of the age limit for visitors to malls, tourist attractions, and entertainment venues, namely allowing children over the age of 5 years, his party will still apply sanctions for those who are found to be 15 years old in public places. the.

"Children aged 5 years and over are allowed, but there are still sanctions, such as singing or Pancasila," he said.
