South Lampung Firefighters Handling 4 Land Fires

South LaMPUNG - Fire and Rescue Service (Damkarmat) officers of South Lampung Regency managed to extinguish four land fires.

"Damkar and Rescue, Wednesday, October 4, 2023, extinguished land fires at 4 location points," said Head of the Fire Department at the South Lampung Damkarmat Service, Rully Fikriansyah, in Kalianda, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 4.

The land fire incident in South Lampung Regency today occurred from morning to evening.

"The first is the blackout of Mr. Hacri's Land Fire on Jalan Sinar Laut, Ketang Way Urang, Kalianda District, the incident occurred at 07.27 WIB," he said.

Then the team again extinguished the fire in Kotadalam Village, Umbul Waru Hamlet, Sidomulyo District, the incident occurred at 10.30 WIB.

"The land fire returned next to SMP Mutiara, Pemanggilan Village, Natar District, the incident occurred at 13.30 WIB at the Natar Damkar Post, assisted by SatPOLPP and Staff," he said.

Furthermore, South Lampung Damkarmat officers again extinguished the Land Fire at PT Maju Tambak Sumur. The fire occurred at 11.50 WIB.

For this incident, he appealed to the public to increase awareness of the potential for forest and land fires (karhutla) during the dry season in the area.

"We urge the public to be more careful in using the fire, not to throw away the remaining or cigarette butts on the side of the road because it can cause fires," he urged.
