Files Transferred To The Prosecutor's Office, Bromo Fire Cases Will Soon Be Tried

Investigators from the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) of the East Java Police have transferred the case files of suspects in forest and land fires (karhutla) in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) to the local High Prosecutor's Office.

"The plan to send the files today is Wednesday for the suspect Andre," said Director of Criminal Investigation of the East Java Police, Kombes Pol Farman, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 4.

The police have named Andrie Wibowo Eka Wardhana (41) from Lumajang Regency as a suspect. He is the manager or person in charge of the wedding organizer (WO) who was hired by a bride and groom from Surabaya who participated in the group.

Farman also gave a signal that there may be a new suspect who is still being processed by investigators by completing a number of additional evidence and information.

"It's still a process, just wait," said the officer with three golden jasmine on his shoulders.

Farman said that currently the police are still investigating the fire case by examining a number of witnesses to seek additional information.

"We examined a number of witnesses to look for additional data. Starting from the TNBTS side to a pre-wedding group such as prospective brides and videographer photographers," he said.

"We see with the facts of the law and the available evidence. If the evidence is sufficient, they can be held accountable," added Farman.

Previously, the case of the Mount Bromo fire began when a group of people pre-wedded in savana or Bukit Teletubbies. They lit flares, then the spark hit the grass until it spread.

There is one person who is a suspect. Meanwhile, five other people are still witnesses, including the bride and groom Hendra Purnama (39), a male bride from Kedungdoro Village, Tegalsari District, Surabaya City and the bride Pratiwi Mandala Putri (26) from Lrorok Pakjo Village, Ilir Barat 1 District, Palembang City.

Then MGG (38) as the pre-wedding crew from Kedungdoro Village, Tegalsari District, Surabaya City, ET (27) crew pre-wedding from Klampis Ngasem Village, Sukolilo District, Surabaya City and ARVD (34) as makeup artists from Kelurahan/Kecamatan Tandes, Surabaya City.
