JAKARTA - The DKI Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded that 150 RTs out of 42 RTs were affected by flooding in Jakarta. Floods occurred due to rain that flushed from Sunday, February 7 afternoon to Monday, February 8 morning.
"Floods are scattered in East Jakarta and South Jakarta. The percentage of affected RTs is 0.492 percent of the total RT in Jakarta of 30,470 RTs," said Acting Head of BPBD DKI Sabdo Kurnianto in his statement, Monday, February 8.
Floods in the South Jakarta area include 4 Districts and 7 Kelurahan, 17 RW and 38 RT with a height of 40 to 190 centimeters. The number of refugees was 30 families with a total of 304 people.

Sabdo said that the floods that occurred in East Jakarta and South Jakarta were caused by the Sunter River and Ciliwung River which were overflowing due to the high rainfall upstream.
As a result, the houses of residents living around the river were affected by flooding and were forced to evacuate. A total of 14 refugee camps have been used and there were no fatalities in this incident.
"The deployment of officers has been carried out with the Department of Water Resources, Damkar, and PPSU Kelurahan so that water recedes quickly. Meanwhile, for local rain in the Jakarta area, the inundation impacts have receded," said Sabdo.
The DKI Jakarta Provincial BPBD has also distributed a number of aid, namely inner tubes / buoys, mattresses, blankets, cloth masks, mineral water, and children's needs.
