Read The Pledge Of Pancasila Certificate, Puan Affirms Pancasila For Indonesian Unitary Penuntun Stars

JAKARTA - The chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, was again asked to read the Pledge of Pancasila Sanctity in commemoration of the Pancasila Sanctity Day which falls every October 1.

Puan emphasized that Pancasila is a guide star that unites all Indonesian people.

The commemoration ceremony for the Pancasila Sanctity Day was held at the Pancasila Sakti Monument, Pondok Gede, Jakarta, Sunday, October 1.

This commemoration aims to commemorate the heroes who died in the September 30th Movement in 1965 by the PKI (G30S/PKI).

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) acted as inspector of ceremonies.

Led by the Head of the Halim Perdana Kusuma Air Base Headquarters, Colonel Pnb Pguh Yulianto as commander, the commemoration ceremony for Pancasila Sanctity Day began with the singing of the Indonesia Raya song and followed by the quenching of Creation.

The ceremony was then continued with the reading of the Pancasila text by the Chairman of the DPD RI, AA Lanyalla Mahmud Mattalitti.

Furthermore, the Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly Bambang Soesatyo read the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia.

Just like in previous years, Puan as Chair of the DPR RI then read out the Pledge of the Pancasila Kepaktian, which contained the determination to maintain and practice the values of Pancasila.

Loudly and emotionally because of the struggle of the heroes of the revolution, Puan reads the Pledge of the Pancasila Kepaktian solemnly.

"In commemorating the Sanctity Day of Pancasila, we are determined to maintain and practice the values of Pancasila as a source of strength," said Puan's quote from Ikrar Kesaktian Pancasila.

Puan then signed the Pledge of Pancasila Sanctity.

The ceremony ended with the reading of a prayer led by the Minister of Religion (Menag) Yaqut Cholil Qoumas.

This year's Pancasila Certificate Commemoration raised the theme 'Pancasila Unifying the Nation Towards an Advanced Indonesia'.

Puan also hopes that all Indonesian people can interpret the 2023 Pancasila Sanctity Day by determined to uphold Pancasila as the nation's ideology.

He said Pancasila was a strong guide in maintaining the unity and diversity of the Indonesian nation. Especially now that the world is increasingly complex and rapidly changing because of the era of the times.

"The principles of Pancasila can be used as a basis for dealing with various differences of opinion, religion, culture, and social backgrounds that exist in society," said Puan.

"Pancasila also reminds us not only to maintain political and economic aspects, but also to pay attention to human rights, social justice, and environmental sustainability," continued the first woman to serve as Chair of the DPR RI.

According to Puan, the Pledge of Pancasila Health itself must be interpreted as the determination of all people to maintain Pancasila as the basis of the state and the ideology of the Indonesian nation. The pledge is also seen as a call to avoid potential that threatens the Pancasila ideology, including threats to extremism and intolerance.

"We must unite as a nation to prevent efforts that can undermine these basic principles," said Puan.

Bung Karno's grandson hopes that the Pledge of Pancasila Sanctity can be an effort to create a Pancasilaist society. Puan emphasized that Pancasila is a way of life for the Indonesian people.

The values of Pancasila are a strong foundation for this diverse country of Indonesia. Leaving Pancasila is the same as removing the nation's identity from its deepest roots and betraying the mandate of the founders of the Nation," he said.

"Changing Pancasila will have an impact on the loss of character as a friendly, tolerant, and cooperative nation," continued Puan.

All generations are said to have the task of building a nation and a country based on Pancasila. Puan also reminded the importance of strengthening the nation's identity so as not to be eroded by transnational ideology in the midst of the globalization era and technological advances.

"Technological developments have quite a tough challenge because information disclosure often also leaves a negative impact if we can't filter it well," he said.

Puan said, Pancasila can be a guide for the community to continue to have a strong character so that it cannot be separated from the identity of the Indonesian nation.

He reminded Pancasila not only to be used as a slogan, but also to be realized in a way of thinking, behaving, and working for all elements of the nation's society.

"Pancasila is the leader of the unification of the Indonesian people, especially in facing all the challenges of the times. Pancasila can lead the nation's journey to be more advanced," explained Puan.

Therefore, the moment of commemoration of Pancasila Sanctity Day is considered important as a reminder for all Indonesian people. In particular, said Puan, for the younger generation who are the next generation of the nation.

"The young generation must be able to understand that Pancasila is a unifying tool for the nation in the midst of the pluralism of the Indonesian nation," he explained.

"With the foundation based on mutual cooperation contained in the values of Pancasila, the younger generation will easily eradicate anti-difference and diversity, which is currently a threat to the next generation of the nation," continued Puan.

Meanwhile, for the Indonesian people in general, Puan reminded them to always act on Pancasila in their daily lives.

"We must continue to try to respect, uphold and practice the principles of Pancasila. And work together to create a fairer, more harmonious, and peaceful society in Indonesia," he concluded.
