Involved In Corruption, Former Head Of BKSDM Seluma Sentenced To 4 Years In Prison Fines Rp200 Million

BENGKULU - The Panel of Judges at the Bengkulu District Court (PN) sentenced the Head of the Procurement Division of the Seluma Regency Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM), Cucuk Wibowo. The verdict was given in connection with the case of alleged gratification or illegal levies (Pungli) of the Government Employee Decree with the Work Agreement (PPPK) of the Seluma Regency Health Workers (Nakes) in 2022. "Considering that the defendant's actions were proven guilty in accordance with the more subsidiary indictment, namely Article 23 of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption, Juncto Article 53 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code," said Chief Justice Dicky Wahyu Sutanto at the Bengkulu District Court, Antara, Wednesday, September 27. In addition to being sentenced to four years in prison, the defendant was also fined Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to three months in prison. The verdict is higher than the demands of the Public Prosecutor (JPU), namely two years in prison and a fine of Rp. 50 million, subsidiary to three months in prison. Previously, Wibowo was charged with Article 23 of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended and supplemented by Law Number 20 of 2001. Regarding the amendment to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of corruption in conjunction with Article 53 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code in accordance with the indictment of more subsidiary public prosecutors. "According to the article, the defendant assured him that he was guilty of committing the crime of an official abusing power, forcing someone to do, not do or allow something. If the intention has been proven from the beginning and the implementation is not finished, it is not solely up to itself," said Kajari Seluma Wuriadi Paramitha through Head of Special Investigation Unit Ahmad Guproni. It is known that the Seluma District Attorney conducted a Hand Catch Operation (OTT) against Cucuk Wibowo regarding the issuance of the PPPK Decree for health workers from the Seluma District Health Office.

Selain menetapkan Cucuk sebagai tersangka, Kejari Seluma juga menyita barang bukti berupa uang sebesar Rp27 juta dan lima unit handphone.
