Investigate, Police Process The Crime Scene Of A Deadly Accident At The Bawen Toll Exit

Police from the Central Java Police Ditlantas held a crime scene (TKP) for a fatal accident at the exit of the Bawen Toll Road, Semarang, Central Java, Sunday, September 24.

The police held a traffic accident analysis (TAA) with a 3D laser scanner to hold a reconstruction before, shortly, and after the deadly accident at the exit of the Bawen Toll Road.

Semarang Police Chief, AKBP Achmad Oka Mahendra said, in TAA activities there were several benefits to investigate the cause of the deadly accident at the exit of the Bawen Toll Road.

"As a result of the investigation, this afternoon we will hold it to determine the status of the driver of the truck driver," said AKBP Oka, Sunday, September 24.

His party has examined the driver and kernet carried out by the Laka Ambarawa Unit. The police have also collected other evidence such as CCTV and examined witnesses.

Previously, a fatal accident on the exit of the Bawen Toll Road, Semarang Regency, Central Java, last Saturday. The incident was allegedly caused by a truck experiencing a failed brake from Semarang to Salatiga. The truck hit a vehicle that stopped because the traffic light was on red.

After the truck crashed, several motorized vehicles caught fire at the accident site. The accident occurred at around 18.35 WIB.

Semarang Police Chief, AKBP Achmad Oka Mahendra said the fatal accident at the exit of the Bawen Toll Road involved a truck with the number AD 8911 IA plate.

"The truck came from the direction of Semarang City towards Salatiga and then suffered a failed brake," said AKBP Oka.

As a result of the failed brakes, the truck hit several vehicles that were stopped at the Bawen intersection. As a result, the lives of three people died.
