Polda Metro Jaya arrested a woman with the initials FEA (24), a pimp in a case of prostitution of minors or trafficking in persons through social media.

"We are carrying out forced efforts against suspects suspected of being involved in prostitution or criminal acts of trafficking in persons (TPPO)," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol. Ade Safri Simanjuntak, to reporters in Jakarta, Sunday, September 24, as reported by Antara.

Ade said that two children were caught in the prostitution case, namely SM (14) and DO (15) who knew the perpetrators from the social network. The perpetrator was arrested on Thursday, September 14.

SM admitted that he did the job with the aim of helping his grandmother. The victim was promised to get Rp6 million.

Then, DO was also first hired by the perpetrators who promised to be given Rp1 million.

"In addition to SM and DO, through social media, it is suspected that there are still 21 children who are sexually exploited and suspected of being minors," he said.

Moreover, the FEA actor also charges for women with virgin status to be offered Rp. 7-8 million per hour and for non-virtuals Rp. 1.5 million per hour.

In the distribution of the results, the FEA perpetrators get a 50 percent share of each transaction. He admitted to being a pimp from April-September 2023.

According to the perpetrator's statement, all income is used to meet daily needs. "We are still investigating and also coordinating with the Integrated Service Center for the Empowerment of Women and Children (P2TP2A) for handling victims," he said.

After undergoing the handling of P2TP2A, the victim has now been returned or handed back to their respective families and parents.

The confiscated evidence, namely four cell phones (cell phones), Rp7.8 million in cash and an Independent Cash Platform (ATM) card.

For his actions, the perpetrator was entangled in Article 27 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph 1 of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions and or Article 296 and or Article 506 of the Criminal Code and or Article 4 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 30 of Law Number 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography.

Then, Article 2 in conjunction with Article 17 of Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning the Eradication of the Crime of Trafficking in Persons and/or Article 76I in conjunction with Article 88 of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.
