Affirming There Is No TSM Fraud, KPU Asks The Court To Reject Tangsel Regional Election Lawsuit Muhamad-Saraswati

JAKARTA - The South Tangerang General Election Commission (KPU) asked the Constitutional Court (MK) to reject the request for a dispute over the regional head election results submitted by candidate pair Muhamad-Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo. The reason was that Muhamad-Saraswati's lawsuit was deemed unclear.

Tangsel KPU attorney Saleh said the applicant did not clearly explain the basis of the petition. According to him, the Petitioners' arguments did not discuss the correct vote count results at all and asked for the determination of the votes according to the correct calculation according to the Petitioners.

Tangsel KPU also denied the argument of candidate pair number 1 Muhamad-Saraswati Djojohadikusumo regarding the existence of structured, systematic and massive violations (TSM). The Petitioner is said to have not filed a TSM dispute until voting day at Bawaslu of Banten Province.

Saleh said the Tangsel KPU had implemented recommendations from the Tangsel Bawaslu during the election process.

"Basically, the petitioner cannot prove the argument being petitioned for," said Saleh.

There is also the pair Muhamad-Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo asking for a re-voting (PSU) in all polling stations (TPS) in South Tangerang due to alleged manipulative acts laden with TSM violations.

The South Tangerang KPU was also said to be directly involved in winning the candidate pair number 03, including by giving invitations long before voting and allowing voters to use their voting rights more than once.

Previously, the South Tangerang KPU determined the recapitulation results of candidate pair number 01 Muhammad-Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo with 205,309 votes, candidate pair 02 Siti Nurazizah-Ruhamaben 134,682 votes, and candidate pair number 03 Benyamin Davnie-Pilar Saga Ichsan 235,734 votes.
