JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan emphasized that his party would not implement lockdowns or lockdowns on weekends. Anies, the issue of lockdown is only an issue in circulation.

Anies said that his party will ensure that the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) in the field runs well and orderly.

Therefore, Anies again reminded the public to continue to comply with 3M's health protocols, namely wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands. Also, you don't have to leave the house if you don't have an urgent need.

Previously, a chain message circulated on the WhatsApp messaging application informing that DKI Jakarta would carry out a lockdown or lockdown on February 12 to 15, 2021.

It was also stated that during the lockdown, all homes and businesses had to be covered and the community could not leave. Those who violate will be subject to a fine and immediately carry out a COVID-19 swab test.

However, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kemenkominfo) confirmed that this information was hoax or misleading news.

"In fact, this information is hoax. Until this document was prepared and released, there has been no official announcement regarding the implementation of the lockdown for the DKI Jakarta area," wrote the official statement from the Ministry of Communication and Information.
