Anies Ready To Go To KPU On The First Day Of Presidential And Vice Presidential Candidate Registration

YOGYAKARTA - The presidential candidate (readpres) from the NasDem Party Anies Baswedan admitted that he was ready to register as a presidential candidate (candidate) with his assistant Muhaimin Iskandar in the 2024 presidential election to the General Election Commission (KPU) on the first day of registration.

"Yes, hopefully, once (registration) is opened, we will register," said Anies Baswedan at the Yogyakarta Gadjah Mada University (UGM) Campus, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 19.

Anies then asked reporters regarding the schedule for registering for presidential and vice-presidential candidates. He admitted that he had no problem and was ready to register whenever the registration was opened. "God willing, it's ready," he said.

Previously, the KPU planned to advance the registration schedule for presidential and vice-presidential candidates from October 19 to October 10, 2023.

However, the plan will still be discussed by the Indonesian KPU in a joint consultation meeting with Commission II of the DPR RI and the Government at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta on Wednesday (20/9), related to the registration of presidential candidates (candidates) and vice presidents (cawapres).

When asked about the serial number of the presidential candidate pair and the desired vice presidential candidate, Anies did not want to bother because for him all numbers were the same.

"There is no difference," he said.

Anies expressed his desire for the atmosphere of the 2024 General Election to be healthy, calm, and shady.

"So for all parties, we help so that the atmosphere is calm and shady," he said.
