KKB Shoots Two Residents Of Oksibil District While Preparing Dinner

JAKARTA - Two civilians were victims of the terror of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB), Monday, September 18, evening. They were shot while preparing dinner.

"Yes, that's right, two civilians were shot," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo in his statement, Tuesday, September 19.

The shooting began when the two victims, Regina Bitdana (50) and Jonas Kalakmabin (35), were preparing dinner at their home in Okpol Village, Oksibil District, Bintang Mountains Regency.

Suddenly a gunshot was heard coming from outside the house, precisely from the highway. The shot hit them.

"The victim Regina suffered a gunshot wound above her left ankle, while the victim Jonas suffered a gunshot wound to his left ankle," he said.

Currently, the two victims have been taken to the Oksibil Hospital for medical treatment.

On the other hand, Benny condemned the KKB's heinous act. This is because the separatist group continues to spread terror. Where, previously Brimob members were also victims.

"Previously, the KKB carried out an attack on security forces who were patrolling the Yapimakot Village, Serambakon District, which caused the death of Brimob member of North Sulawesi BKO Polda Papua, Brigadier Rudi Agung Azhari," said Benny.
