Proud Of Jombang's Son To Participate In The 2024 Election Contest, PBNU Chair Prays For Cak Imin To Be Vice President

Chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board KH Hassib Wahab Hasbullah prayed for PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin to be the vice president of Indonesia. "My prayers and all Islamic boarding school students, God willing, accompany Pak Muhaimin to pray for him, he can succeed or become vice president," he said when receiving Cak Imin's visit at the Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Islamic Boarding School, Jombang, East Java, as reported by Antara, Sunday, September 10. KH Hasib Wahab who is also the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Islamic boarding school said he was proud, with the presence of a figure from Jombang who could participate in the 2024 presidential election contestation, especially if he could enter the palace. "Then and I think about this, only Cak Imin from East Java came forward, especially from Jombang, if it was Jombang wong, this is Jombang cawapres entering this Palace," said Hasib when welcoming Cak Imin at his residence. Hasib said, as the son of one of the founders of Nahdlatul Ulama, KH Abdul Wahab Hasbullah, he admitted that Cak Imin was part of the Tambakberas extended family. "Because he is his brother, Kiai Gusti is Kiai Hasbullah's son-in-law, got his younger brother Kiai Wahab," he said. On the same occasion, Cak Imin admitted that he was increasingly optimistic about the support given by KH. Hassib Wahab Hasbullah. "God willing, I will be more optimistic," he said. In the same place, after visiting KH Hassib Wahab Hasbullah, Muhaimin then made a pilgrimage to the grave of the founder of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) KH Abdul Wahab Hasbullah.

KH Wahab Hasbullah died in Jombang on December 29, 1971 and was awarded the title of National Hero on November 7, 2014 by President Joko Widodo.
