DLH Cirebon: 300-400 Square Meters Of Land For TPA Kopi Luhur Cirebon Burns

CIREBON - The Cirebon City Environment Agency (DLH) said that the land area of the Luhur Coffee Waste Final Disposal Site (TPA), Cirebon, West Java, which burned was estimated at 300 to 400 square meters of the total 5.2 hectare land.

"This fire is estimated to scorched 300-400 meters of land," said Cirebon City DLH Head Yuni Darti at the fire site as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, September 9.

Yuni said the fire was suspected by land burning activity near the location, then the coal from the fire was blown by strong winds and immediately grabbed dry garbage at the Luhur Coffee TPA.

However, Yuni ensured that her party would conduct an investigation with the relevant authorities to find out the cause of the fire.

"A total of seven fire engines have been deployed, the fire is still ongoing," he said.

For the time being, he said, the activities of garbage scavengers at the Luhur Coffee TPA were temporarily suspended to anticipate unwanted things.

Yuni said the blackout process at the Luhur Coffee TPA was still ongoing until 18:54 WIB, where the Cirebon City Damkar deployed three fleet units and four other fleets from various agencies.

"We urge residents not to approach the location," he said.
