PPP Targets 11 Million Votes In The 2024 Election

PADANG - Chairman of the Election Winning Body (Bapilu) of the United Development Party (PPP) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said the party bearing the Kaaba was targeting 11 million votes in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).

"PPP will focus on young voters to achieve the target of 11 million votes," said PPP BapPilu Chairman Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno in Padang as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, September 9.

Especially in West Sumatra Province, Sandi, who is also the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), sees the potential for novice voters or sympathizers to be very potential.

To achieve the target of 11 million votes, the party bearing the Kaaba symbol will carry several ideas including a green economy that seeks to create jobs and maintain price stability.

"We see the availability of jobs and stable prices are points that young people expect," said Sandi.

In addition, Sandi said, the party will also strengthen the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) sector which focuses on strengthening the people's economy.

Sandi believes that if the idea is implemented properly, it can win the hearts of the people in the 2024 General Election.

"This is what we will try to raise PPP's voice with a target of 11 million votes," he said.

Especially in Minang, the Chairman of Bappilu PPP targets two cadres to sit in Senayan, eight seats in the provincial-level DPRD and 82 seats in district and city DPRDs.

When confirmed regarding PPP's political stance on vice presidential candidates, Sandiaga emphasized that this was entirely the authority of the Acting Chairperson (Plt) of PPP Muhamad Mardiono.

"For the matter of determining the presidential and vice presidential candidates, he (Mardiono) will answer it. I will focus or maximize our efforts and knock on the door of heaven," he said.

Sandi explained that the door to heaven in question is that the party will hold a khataman assembly every night until the determination of October 10, 2023. Through this religious agenda, it is hoped that party cadres and leaders will get blessings.

"We hope that the leaders will have blessings and wisdom in determining the vice presidential candidate who will accompany Mr. Ganjar Pranowo," he said.
