JAKARTA - The National Corruption Prevention Strategic Team (Stranas PK) revealed that tens of thousands of state civil servants (ASN) had received social assistance (bansos).
This was conveyed by the Implementing Coordinator of Stranas PK Pahala Nainggolan who said the data was obtained from matching data with the State Civil Service Agency (BKN). The tens of thousands of ASN should not receive social assistance.
"It turned out that we found that around 23,800 had jobs as ASN," said Pahala as quoted on Wednesday, September 6.
Stranas PK then revealed that there were three provinces with the most ASN recipients of social assistance. The first is West Java with 3,539 people.
Then in the second position is Central Java 3,178. Finally, East Java with the number of ASN who received social assistance reached 2,396 people.
Not only ASN, Stranas PK also revealed that there were salary recipients above the minimum limit who received assistance from the government. The total reached 493,000 people.
The areas receiving social assistance that actually have salaries above the largest limit are West Java reaching 140,000 people; Central Java around 85,000; and East Java around 30,000 people. If combined between ASN and salary recipients, there are hundreds of billions of rupiah of social assistance distributed not to the target every week.
"Especially for ASN and those who receive wages, we estimate that Rp140 billion per month is actually not right in love," said Pahala.
This condition makes Stranas PK hope that the regions will immediately improve these findings as well as the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos). "We have to fix DTKS so that the social assistance is right," he said.
"The NIK (resident identification number) is almost not a problem because everything is crowded with NIK. But this one, the poor can't, the rich can even get it. That's all social assistance disease," he continued.
Meanwhile, Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini said that the existence of ASN who received social assistance could have occurred due to changes in work status. But, unfortunately, the process is often not recorded.

So, the Ministry of Social Affairs is now continuing to update their data regarding beneficiaries of assistance. "I am now (checking, red) every month," said Risma.
"Because if the law is two years it's too late. In fact, I'm six months too late. So now every month the repairs," he concluded.
