JAKARTA - NasDem politician Ahmad Sahroni has refused to report the chairman of the Upper House of the Democratic Party Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) on suspicion of spreading false news or hoaxes to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. According to him, the sixth President of the Republic of Indonesia was about to be policed on suspicion of spreading false news. "At first he wanted to report, because the general chairman when he wanted to step down his order was not allowed, so I didn't (report)," Sahroni told reporters, Monday, September 4. According to him, the main reason for not reporting SBY was because it was prohibited by the General Chairperson of NasDem Surya Paloh. He was asked to stop his intention. "When he wanted to go down, Mr. Surya (say) 'You can't report someone, you've been back to the office'," said Sahroni, imitating Surya Paloh's statement. Meanwhile, the alleged spread of false news that was originally going to be reported regarding SBY's statement regarding NasDem's political maneuver was considered a Democrat. It was said that SBY had said that if SBY had said that the coalition of changes would carry Anies-AHY as Presidential Candidate and Vice President in early September.

However, Sahroni emphasized that there was no such decision. In fact, in the coalition meeting there was not the slightest discussion of this matter. "I said that there was no such thing. But Pak SBY asked for the declaration on September 3 to be true. So what Pak SBY said was actually a lie," said Sahroni.
