PKB Officially Declares Anies-Cak Imin, Surya Paloh: The First Pair To Register With The KPU

JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) officially declared Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) as a presidential candidate pair (candidate) and vice presidential candidate (cawapres) in Surabaya, East Java, Saturday, September 2.

This declaration was witnessed by the General Chairperson of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh.

It is known that Anies Baswedan is a presidential candidate recommended by the NasDem Party.

In his remarks, Surya Paloh stated that the Anies-Cak Imin pair will be the first pair to register as the presidential candidate and vice president at the Indonesian KPU in October.

"God willing, when the KPU opens the registration of presidential and vice presidential candidates, God willing, the first pair to register is the pair we have today," Surya said in his remarks, Saturday, September 2.

Surya said Anies-Cak Imin are two people who have their own advantages.

Anies, he said, is an intellectual person who is believed to be able to provide a new leadership atmosphere in this country.

"One is a Muhaimin Iskandar, a person who is very paraded as an accomplished organizer who has been moving in the world of movement for quite a long time, as well as his expertise as Bung Anies Baswedan, so this is like a bottle and a bottle cap," said Surya Paloh.
