Chinese PM Li Qiang Will Attend ASEAN 43rd Summit In Jakarta

JAKARTA - Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang is confirmed to attend the 43rd ASEAN Summit which will take place on September 5-7 at the invitation of President Joko Widodo as chairman of ASEAN 2023.

"In addition to the main agenda, the prime minister will also attend the 26th China-ASEAN Summit, the 26th ASEAN Plus Three Summit and the 18th East Asian Summit in Jakarta," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said on the website of China's foreign ministry., A Friday, September 1.

The 43rd ASEAN Summit will take place at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta, from 5 to 7 September 2023 and will be attended by around 26 countries.

President Joko Widodo will chair 12 meetings at the 43rd ASEAN Summit, in addition to attending bilateral meetings with partner countries, informal meetings, the ASEAN-China Summit, the ASEAN-South Korea Summit, and the ASEAN-Japan Summit.

In addition, there are the ASEAN-United States Summit, the ASEAN-Canada Summit, the ASEAN-India Summit, the ASEAN-Australian Summit, the ASEAN-United Nations Summit (UN), the ASEAN Plus Three Summit (China, Japan, South Korea), and the East Asian Summit.

In addition to ASEAN member countries, participating in this event were Australia, India, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the Federation of Russia, the United States, Canada, and representatives of the United Nations (UN).
