PKB Accepts NasDem Offer Duet Anies-Cak Imin

The Central Executive Board of the National Awakening Party (PKB) has decided to accept the offer of political cooperation proposed by the NasDem Party to pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar as a presidential candidate and future vice presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

The decision was made after the completion of the joint plenary meeting of the PKB DPP which was held at the East Java PKB Regional Leadership Council office, Jalan Winanggal, Surabaya, Friday, September 1.

"PKB welcomes the NasDem Party's offer to pair a presidential candidate and the vice presidential candidate, Anies-Muhaimin," said Secretary General (Secretary General) of the Central Executive Board of PKB Muhammad Hasannudin Wahid as reported by ANTARA.

He said the issuance of this decision was following up on the implementation of the plenary meeting this morning in Jakarta which welcomed the offer of cooperation from the NasDem party to PKB for political cooperation in the 2024 presidential election.

However, the central management's decision requires the determination of the final result or finalization process to be carried out through a joint plenary meeting of the PKB DPP which involves all levels of internal party management.

"But this morning the decision from the PKB DPP also had to hold a joint plenary meeting, so not only the PKB and Tanfidz Syuro Councils but all autonomous bodies were invited, all faction members were invited, even the PKB DPW leaders were also invited this afternoon," he said.

Then in the joint plenary meeting as well, the PKB DPP also asked for directions and views from kiai, figures, and party internal cadres regarding decision making on the offer of political cooperation with NasDem to pair Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar.

"So Anies-Muhaimin is approximately abbreviated as 'AMIN'," he said.

"The kiai fully support, provide what is the best encouragement for PKB. Bismillai tawakkatul alallah, mlaku, budal gus, go together," he added.

Therefore, he hopes that the "AMIN" pair can achieve positive results at the 2024 presidential election.

"I pray and hope this couple can become the winning pair in the 2024 presidential election," said the Secretary General.

Meanwhile, Hasannudin Wahid still has not provided information regarding the implementation of the declaration of the "AMIN" pair.

"Regarding when the declaration will be, where and at what time we will inform you tomorrow," he said.
