92 Islamic Defenders Front Accounts Are Analyzed, One Of Them Leads To The Terrorist's Wife

JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters is still studying the results of the analysis of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center related to 92 accounts of the Islamic Defenders Front.

The National Police said that one of the transactions allegedly led to Tazneen Miriam Sailar, who is the wife of Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) terrorist Asep Ahmad Setiawan alias Abu Ahmad.

"It has something to do with the wife of a terrorist member. That's one of them", said Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Wednesday, February 3.

Police are still investigating Tazneen regarding the suspected terrorist network. As for the Islamic Defenders Front accounts, the results of the PPATK reports are still being examined one by one.

"There are 92 accounts related to the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center, of course, the process is still being analyzed. Surely the investigators will study them one by one, explore the involvement of the sending of these accounts", he said.

As previously reported, the National Police said that woman who is a foreign citizen from England who was secured by the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights was the wife of a member of the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) terrorist network.

A woman named Tazneen Miriam Sailar is the wife of Asep Ahmad Setiawan alias Abu Ahmad.

"The suspect is the wife of an Indonesian citizen on behalf of Asep Ahmad Setiawan or Abu Ahmad that passed away in 2014", said Ramadhan.

Based on data from Densus 88 Anti-terror, Asep Ahmad Setiawan or Abu Ahmad died on the battlefield that occurred in Syria six years ago. In fact, Abu Ahmad is also affiliated with Al-Qaeda. Meanwhile, the role of Tazneen i is still being investigated by Densus 88 Anti-terror investigators.
