Amnesty International Indonesia encourages members of the Presidential Security Forces (Paspampres) suspected of killing Iman Masykur (25) to be prosecuted in the general court.
In X's social media account, Amnesty emphasized that the officers involved in the crime cannot just be rewarded with internal sanctions.
"Security forces involved in crimes, torture and other inhumane treatment must undergo legal proceedings in general courts in accordance with fair justice principles, not just internal sanctions," Amnesty International Indonesia said through the @amnestyindo account, Tuesday, August 29.
Iman Masykur, a resident of Mon Keulayu, Bireuen, Aceh, has become a victim of torture that has resulted in death. Amnesty condemned the behavior allegedly committed by the Paspampres member.
