PAN Does Not Want The Determination Of The Vice Presidential Candidate To Be A Source Of Conflict In The Prabowo Coalition

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PAN DPP Viva Yoga Mauladi emphasized that his party does not want to determine the figure of a candidate for vice president (cawapres) to become an internal conflict within the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR).

"Don't let the vice presidential candidate become a source of new conflict in the big coalition," said Viva Yoga as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 28.

He said PAN respects the PKB's initiative to encourage Muhaimin Iskandar and Golkar to encourage Airlangga as a candidate for vice president. According to him, all initiatives and proposals for a candidate for vice president will be discussed together in the coalition.

"We are solid and related to the vice president, PAN submits its decision to the (bakal) presidential candidate. Of course, deliberation and consensus will be carried out," he said.

In addition, Viva denied that the PAN Birthday (HUT) celebration on Monday (28/8) was used as an event for one of the vice presidential candidates to convey his national vision and mission.

According to him, the PAN anniversary will be celebrated cheerfully and attended by all general chairmen of the KKIR political party.

Previously, the PAN DPP would hold the opening of Technical Guidance (Bimtek) and the celebration of the 25th PAN Anniversary in Jakarta, Monday (28/8) afternoon. The PAN DPP has invited President Joko Widodo to attend the event.

The PAN Anniversary celebration will be attended by four general chairmen of the KKIR political parties, namely the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party DPP Prabowo Subianto, General Chairperson of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto, Chairman of PKB Muhaimin Iskandar, and Chairman of PAN Zulkifli Hasan.
