WNA Jambret In Sudirman Falls Hit By A Car, Broken Leg Until Abandoned By His Friend

JAKARTA - A video recording of a motorbike rider suspected of being the perpetrator of a robbery was injured when he was hit by a car suddenly went viral on Instagram social media. The incident was reported on Sunday, August 20.

In amateur video footage, a man suspected of robbery was seen lying on the asphalt with a broken left leg after being hit by a car on Jalan Sudirman, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

From the uploaded narrative, the perpetrator and a friend using a motorbike had carried out a robbery against foreign nationals (WNA) who were carrying out Car Free Day (CFD) activities in the Sudirman area, Tanah Abang.

The two perpetrators then snatched the victim's valuables and fled. However, when the perpetrator spurred the motorbike at high speed, the perpetrators were chased by car drivers.

Then the driver hit the perpetrator's motorbike and fell onto the asphalt. A perpetrator was arrested while his body was injured as a result of being hit by a car.

Meanwhile, the other perpetrators managed to escape. Furthermore, a cellphone from the perpetrator's body was confiscated by the police as evidence.

Tanah Abang Metro Police Chief, Kompol Patar Mula Bona said that his party had not received a report regarding the viral information on the mugging of foreigners in the Sudirman area, Tanah Abang.

"Until now, I haven't checked yet," he said when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, August 23.
