19 Times He Stole A Motorcycle In Mengwi Bali, This Man Was Finally Arrested By The Police

BADUNG - A man named Wibi Aridiyo Samudro (36) was arrested by the Badung Police, Bali after stealing a motorcycle 19 times.

"From the results of the interrogation in the Mengwi area, the suspect has committed theft of motorbikes 10 times, while in the North Kuta area the suspect committed thefts nine times," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Badung Police, AKP Laorens R. Heselo to reporters quoted by Antara, Tuesday, February 2.

He explained that for the Mengwi area, Badung, the suspect committed theft from August to December 2020. The evidence included nine types of N-Max motorbikes and one type of Scoopy motorbike.

Meanwhile, in the North Kuta area, the suspect has committed the action nine times from August 2020 to January 2021. There is also evidence in the form of 13 N-Max motorbikes and one Scoopy brand.

"The mode used by the suspect is the same in every action, namely by using a motorcycle whose key is still stuck," said Heselo.

The arrest began with a report by a tourist from Russia named Emil Baibulatov (29), on Sunday (10/01) that he had experienced a motorbike theft case at a villa located at Jalan Lebak Sari Petitenget, Kerobokan Kelod Village, North Kuta District, Badung Regency.

"At that time, the victim parked the motorbike in the courtyard of the villa where the victim lived. At around 02.00 WITA, the victim went into the villa to rest, then at 10:00 AM the victim wanted to take the motorbike to be used out, but the victim did not find / found the motorbike in the villa parking lot, "he explained.

Due to this incident the victim suffered a loss of Rp. 25 million. The proceeds of his theft have been sold by the suspect to a collector named Rian Fauzi.

Heselo said that from the results of the investigation, starting from the interrogation process of the detainee, until finally the suspect was arrested on February at around 9:00 p.m. on the highway to Padangbai Harbor, Antiga Village, Manggis District, Karangasem Regency, Bali.

"The suspect is then charged under Article 362 of the Criminal Code concerning theft, while the custodian is subject to Article 480 of the Criminal Code," he said.
